Daring the turning point: why we get stuck before a change
You know something has to change, yet you don't move. It isn't a lack of courage. The three traps of waiting, and a 20-minute exercise to take the first step.
Support to move through a turning point — a life crossroads, a career shift, a big decision — and set off in the right direction.
I don't choose between coaching and mentoring. I do both — because you deserve real listening as much as real direction.
Non-directive coaching helps you find your own answers. Mentoring brings concrete experience — drawn as much from more than fifteen years in finance and team management as from my own life and its turning points.
Most support does one or the other. I hold both. That's where the breakthrough happens.
A path in three movements — not a recipe, a framework. It shapes every engagement, from our first conversation to your action plan.
Naming what's blocking you, what you truly want, what you don't yet dare say to yourself. We start there — without judgment, but without detours.
Understanding your drivers, your patterns, your real strengths. This is the deep work: you can only move forward for good from who you truly are.
Turning clarity into concrete decisions and actions. A plan that holds up in real life — and the momentum to fully commit to it.
From a first meeting to the full journey, choose the format that fits where you are.
A single, intensive session to lay out your situation and leave with a breakthrough and a first clear direction.
The full journey through the three movements, one-to-one: a framework, a rhythm and close support all the way to your action plan.
Close, personalised support over three months, for the major turning points that call for depth and consistency.
More than fifteen years in international finance and team leadership. Today, a coach and mentor.
I spent more than fifteen years leading, deciding and supporting teams in demanding environments — and my own life has had its turning points too. I founded DKN to put all of that experience at the service of those going through a turning point, who deserve more than simple advice or simple listening.
A first testimonial, with more to come.
A caring space for reflection, without judgment, where you feel heard and understood. Through a natural conversation and the right questions, Bané helps bring to light what really lies behind our concerns. Rather than handing out ready-made answers, she guides you so the realisations emerge on their own. I left with confidence in the possibility of building a path that looks like me.
A short weekly note to leave you with a little more clarity, momentum and courage: one principle from the method, a glimpse behind the scenes of coaching, and a concrete pointer on management or career. In French and English.
Oser · Se connaître · Avancer
A method born of more than twenty years of professional experience and of conversations that change a trajectory. Not a magic formula — a path, held by a clear framework and a rare stance.
Clarity isn't given. It's built — movement after movement.
Each movement combines two gestures: open questions that lead you to your own answers, and the perspective of experience — professional and personal — that lights up what you can't yet see. The conclusions stay yours: I don't hand down a verdict, I help you see more clearly.
It all starts with the courage to name things. What weighs on you, what you truly want, what you avoid looking at. We create a confidential space where you can finally lay things out as they are — that's the condition for everything else.
We go a level deeper. Your deep drivers, your recurring patterns, the strengths you underestimate. This movement turns a one-off difficulty into lasting understanding: you're not fixing a problem, you're getting to know yourself.
Clarity becomes momentum. Together — not for you — we build a concrete, realistic action plan, rooted in your real life. With the very first steps, the obstacles anticipated, and the energy to commit.
The method adapts to your situation. It's for all those who feel it's time to move — often without ever having had a role model who looked like them, and who are becoming that model themselves.
At a crossroads, a new chapter to open from who you truly are.
A new role, a career shift, a new position to step into without betraying yourself.
A competition, an exam, a talk, a big decision: preparing mentally to give your best.

The manual for your first year as a manager: setting your stance, launching your team, delegating, giving feedback — and managing with care while protecting mental health, your team's and your own. With ready-to-use take-aways.
I deeply believe we already carry within us what we need to move forward. Sometimes you just need someone to help you see it — that's my whole job.
Over more than twenty years of professional life, including over fifteen in international finance, I held positions of responsibility and led international teams in demanding environments. I learned what it means to decide under pressure, to grow people, and to hold a course when everything is shifting. And like everyone, I've been through my own turning points — that's part of what I draw on too.
What I loved most in all those years wasn't finance. It was the people.
Guiding someone toward their own breakthrough — seeing a person dare, understand themselves, then set off — is what drives me most. So I founded DKN to make it my work, bringing together the two things I know how to do: listening like a coach, and guiding like a mentor — with what both my career and my own life have taught me.
Today I coach online and in person, with a method of my own: The DKN Method.
Running is part of who I am — an ASICS ambassador, I run regularly and share that side of me on @bankirun. A discipline that has taught me a lot about consistency, the right effort, and carrying on even when it's hard.
My reflections, in French and English. Three threads: The DKN Method unpacked, behind the scenes of coaching, and pointers on management and finance.

Becoming a manager for the first time is a change of profession. Here's what twenty years on the ground taught me about those first months.

You've known it for a while.
This job doesn't feel like you anymore. That project has been sitting in a corner for two years. That conversation keeps getting pushed to next week. You don't need anyone to tell you something has to change. You already know.
And yet, you don't move.
It isn't laziness. It isn't a lack of ambition. And contrary to what you read everywhere, it isn't simply a "lack of courage" either. It's more specific than that, which is good news: what is specific can be worked on.
Most people I work with don't come to me at the turning point. They come when they're stuck just before it. In that uncomfortable zone where the old no longer works and the new has no shape yet.
That zone has three features:
1. We wait for certainty. We tell ourselves we'll move once we're sure. Sure it's the right time, the right option, the right plan. But certainty never comes before action. It comes during, and often after.
2. We confuse thinking with moving forward. We read, compare, talk about it, rewrite the list of pros and cons. It all feels like progress. In reality, we're going round in circles with a lot of energy.
3. We tell ourselves it's not the right time. There's always a good reason: year-end, the kids, the current project, the economy. These constraints are real. But sometimes they become a comfortable shelter.
If you recognise yourself in at least one of these, you're not behind. You're exactly where the work begins.
The DKN Method rests on three movements: Dare · Know Yourself · Navigate.
You might think "daring" is the dramatic part: quitting, dropping everything, jumping into the void. That's not what I mean.
Daring means agreeing to look at the situation as it really is. Without the polished version we tell others. Without the dramatised version we tell ourselves at 2am.
It means asking the questions we avoid:
These questions are simple. Answering them honestly isn't. That's why we sidestep them.
Dare comes first in the method for a reason: until we've faced reality, everything else (the assessment, the action plan, the goals) is built on sand.
On our own, we often loop through the same patterns. We know our own arguments too well.
That's where the approach I've built comes in: a hybrid of coaching and mentoring.
Together, they avoid two pitfalls: coaching that stays abstract, and advice that imposes a solution that isn't yours.
You don't need to wait for a session to take the first step. Here's a simple exercise you can do on your own in twenty minutes.
Step 1 — Name the turning point. In one sentence, write down what you want to change. Not three goals. One. If you need more than one sentence, it isn't clear yet, and that's useful information in itself.
Step 2 — Name what's holding you back. List everything that stops you from moving forward. Then mark each item: fact or fear? "I don't have the budget" may be a fact. "I'm not legitimate" is almost always a fear.
Step 3 — Choose one action that takes less than 48 hours. Not a six-month plan. One action. Send a message, block an hour in your calendar, ask for a meeting, look into a course. Something small, but real.
The goal isn't to solve everything. It's to break the waiting. Movement creates clarity far more reliably than thinking alone.
You Can Do It. Not because it's easy. Because it's possible.

Becoming the role model you wish you'd had.
A space for women who didn't always have, right in front of them, someone who looked like them — and who are becoming that person. Reconnecting with your roots to dare your own path.
Some move forward with no map and no role model ahead of them. Racines exists for that.
Racines extends The DKN Method into a space designed to feel like home. You move through the same three movements — Dare · Know Yourself · Navigate — but surrounded, in a circle where you have nothing to explain before you begin.
Where you come from. Your story, your lineage, what you carry — as a strength, not a weight. We always start there.
Who you become. The woman others, after you, will look to and think it's possible. Becoming the role model we didn't always have.
An intimate, in-person workshop to experience Racines together — by direct invitation, in a small group.
A 4-hour half-day · 8 women maximum, by invitation. To explore where you are and leave with a first burst of momentum. The next date will be announced very soon — request an invitation to be the first to know.
